Designed to measure the freezing point of automotive windshield washer fluid and antifreezes based on propylene glycol (Propylene Glycol) and ethylene glycol (Ethylene Glycol), measure the concentration of Adblue (urea) and measure the specific gravity of battery fluid.
Measurement ranges:
Freezing temperature of antifreezes based on propylene glycol (Propylene Glycol) and ethylene glycol (Ethylene Glycol): -50 – 0 °C (scale step – 1 °C).
Freezing temperature of car windshield washer: -40 – 0 °C (scale step – 1 °C).
Adblue (urea) concentration: 30% – 35% (scale step – 0.2%).
Specific gravity of battery fluid: 1.1 – 1.4 kg/l (scale step – 0.01 kg/l).
Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC): 10 – 30 °C.
Aluminum body with rubberized coating.
Focus adjustment.
It is possible to calibrate yourself.
Set: refractometer, napkin for wiping the prism, measuring pipette, screwdriver for calibration, instructions.
How to calibrate:
Open the lid, place a few drops of distilled water on the prism. Close the lid, the liquid should be evenly distributed over the prism (without bubbles and dry spots). Wait 30 seconds. Point the refractometer at the light source and look into the eyepiece. Turn the adjustment screw until the border of white and blue in the eyepiece is at 0.
Rules of use:
For the most accurate readings, the ambient temperature should be around 20°C.
After each use, wipe the prism and lid with a soft cloth.
Do not immerse the refractometer in water.
Do not store the refractometer in a humid environment.
