  • It is possible to calibrate yourself.
  • Set: refractometer, napkin for wiping the prism, measuring pipette, screwdriver for calibration, instructions.
  • How to calibrate:
    Open the lid, place a few drops of distilled water on the prism. Close the lid, the liquid should be evenly distributed over the prism (without bubbles and dry spots). Wait 30 seconds. Point the refractometer at the light source and look into the eyepiece. Turn the adjustment screw until the border of white and blue in the eyepiece is at 0.
  • Rules of use:
    For the most accurate readings, the ambient temperature should be around 20°C.
    After each use, wipe the prism and lid with a soft cloth.
    Do not immerse the refractometer in water.
    Do not store the refractometer in a humid environment.
